Horse Gait comparison report
A gait analysis report was carried out to demonstrate the change in gait as a result of the use of trotting poles. Detailed below is some of the data collected for the near fore.
The blue line represents the angular displacement of each joint at the natural trot
The red line represents the angular displacement of each joint at trot over trotting poles placed at the horses natural stride length.
It is clear to see from these graphs that exercises over trot poles increase both the flexion and extension of each joint compared to trotting without trot poles.
